Description

A dynamic fresh fruit production and marketing company in Mpumalanga, requires a Health, Safety, Environmental & Social Compliance Manager for their fruit packing and fruit pre-packing operation, taking responsibility for the implementation of their Health, Safety, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies, with emphasis on Health and Occupational Safety, and Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS).

Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementation and adherence of the company's policies on Health & Safety, environmental management, social/ethical standards, and general governance.

Responsible for implementation and adherence to the company's anti-corruption and anti-money-laundering policies.

Logistical arrangements with staff relocations.

Assist the food safety team by monitoring daily record-keeping for all food safety and quality assurance standards, and provide support when the company is preparing for audits.

Requirements: A tertiary qualification in environmental sciences, social sciences, food technology, or agriculture. Additional courses in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and Social standards compliance will be an advantage.  Previous experience in standards compliance co-ordination is a prerequisite. Good interpersonal and communication skills, and leadership potential, enjoy working with people.  Must have the ability to work in a diverse cultural environment, and take the lead to establish a company culture that is conducive to harmonious working conditions.  A philanthropic focus could be to your advantage. Diligent, a team player, strong administrator.
