COMMERCIAL NUTRITIONIST: MONOGASTRIC
Adlibio (Pty) Ltd, a prominent animal nutrition consulting firm based in Pretoria, South Africa, seeks a talented and motivated individual to join our team. As a leading provider of agricultural advisory services, feed formulation services, and animal nutrition solutions to the Animal Feed and Livestock Industries in South Africa and other selected countries, we are seeking an adaptable individual who possesses a positive attitude, and a passion for animal science. This opportunity offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to be mentored by top and experienced animal scientists and consultants.
The ideal candidate should meet the following minimum criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science; Master's degree in Animal Science preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in animal science, animal nutrition, intensive livestock production systems, feed manufacturing and feed quality control systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel within South Africa and abroad - travelling requires the candidate to sleep out, often several nights per month.
- Consultancy and/or advisory experience will be advantageous.
- Be registered as a SACNASP Natural Scientist.
- Sound understanding of animal nutrition principles, particularly for poultry and swine.
- Knowledge of the local and international feed-, poultry-, and pig industries.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and well-known feed formulation programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities to improve production efficiencies and profitability at client level.
- Feed formulation experience with a good understanding of feed formulation software (Format, Allix, or Bestmix preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients, both locally and internationally.
- Provide technical support and advise to clients.
- Further improve Adlibio's service offerings.
- Assist the Adlibio team with customer inquiries and ad hoc.
- Develop feed products and feeding programs for monogastric species, especially poultry and swine.
- Cooperate with local and international clients, experts, consultants, universities, and research institutions.
- Conduct animal trials and do research in monogastric nutrition.
- Perform modelling, data analysis, and statistics.
- Represent Adlibio in the industry and interact with industry organizations.
- Present training to clients and make presentations at selected industry events.
