Operasionele Bestuurder: Erfenislandgoed   

‘n Erfenis landgoed met ‘n ryk geskiedenis, en pragtige tuine en geskiedkundige geboue, benodig die dienste van ‘n Operasionele Bestuurder.

Verantwoordelikhede

  • Algemene bestuur van 'n erfenislandgoed se tuine en geboue, insluitend personeelbestuur, en grond- en geboue se instandhouding.
  • Beplanning van alle daaglikse, weeklikse en maandelikse aktiwiteite op die landgoed.
  • Beplanning van herstelwerk en instandhouding van die plaasvoertuigvloot en toerusting.
  • Implementeer 'n voorkomende instandhoudingsprogram.
  • Hou toesig oor gebouinstandhouding en -opknapping, insluitend elektriese werk.
  • Samestelling en tydige indiening van verslae.
  • Verkryging van kwotasies, plaas van aankoopbestellings, voorraadbeheer.
  • Begrotingsbestuur.

Kandidaat vereistes

  • Tersiêre kwalifikasie in handel, bestuur, landbou, of enige toepaslike veld.
  • Minimum 10 jaar ondervinding in 'n bestuurshoedanigheid in boerdery, tuinbou, blomme, siertuinbou, landgoedbestuur of instandhoudingbestuur.
  • Ondervinding in personeelbestuur.
  • Rekenaarvaardig – gevorderde Microsoft Excel, Word, ens.
  • Administrasie- en verslagskryfvaardighede.
  • Kennis van tuininstandhouding, instandhouding van toerusting, werkswinkel, plaasvoertuie sal tot die suksesvolle kandidaat se voordeel wees.
  • Goeie kommunikasievaardighede in Engels en Afrikaans.

  • Proaktief, probleem-identifiseerder en -oplosser.
  • Onafhanklik kan funksioneer.

Operations Manager: Heritage Estate

A heritage estate with a rich history, and beautiful gardens and historic buildings, requires the services of an Operations Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • General management of a heritage estate's gardens and buildings, including staff management, and ground and buildings' maintenance.
  • Planning of all daily, weekly and monthly activities on the estate.
  • Planning repairs and maintenance of the farm vehicle fleet and equipment.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance programme.
  • Overseeing building maintenance and renovation, including electrical work.
  • Compilation and timeous submission of reports.
  • Procurement: obtaining quotations and issuing purchase orders, stock control.
  • Budget management.

 Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, management, agriculture, or any applicable field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in a managerial capacity in farming, horticulture, floral/ornamental horticulture, estate management, or maintenance management.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Computer literate – advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • Administration and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of garden maintenance, maintenance of equipment, workshop, farm vehicles will be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
