A dynamic fresh produce marketing and processing company, east of Johannesburg, requires a Technical Manager for their vegetable and fruit pre-pack operation, taking responsibility for all aspects relating to quality assurance and food safety management.
Implementation and enforcement of Food Safety Procedures, Good Manufacturing practices and personnel hygiene management. Knowledge of BRC will be an advantage.
Help to develop, maintain and update all records, manuals, training procedures, product specifications as defined in the Food Safety System.
Assist with the preparation for Food Safety audits and Customer compliance visits.
Assist with product development and sensory evaluation.
BSc Food Science/Microbiology/Consumer Science or ND Food Technology
At least 5 years experience with food safety and quality management systems in low-care or high-care food facility.
Good interpersonal skills, and managerial capability.
Diligent, team player, must have passion for food safety and quality assurance.
