Eagles Rock Animal Feeds aims to produce high quality products with the customer’s requirements in mind. A dedicated team of technical personnel is continuously innovating and researching new ways to improve feed products to maximise flock or herd’s performance and profitability.
They are now looking for a Systems Coordinator.
Main Purpose of the Job:
The incumbent will report directly to the Technical Manager and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining feed safety management systems across all feed mill sites, ensuring compliance with ISO 22 000 standards, relevant legislation, and company requirements. The role focuses on the prevention of feed safety risks, continuous improvement of processes, and effective cross-site coordination to ensure consistent quality and safety of feed products.
Education, Experience and Competencies Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration, preferably in food or feed manufacturing.
 - Experience with Integrated Business Management Systems, or other traceability and compliance platforms.
 - Internal or Lead Auditor certificate.
 - Computer Literate (Word, Excel and applicable programs).
 - Strong understanding of ISO 22000 or other food safety management systems.
 - Familiarity with regulatory requirements in animal feed production.
 - Health & Safety regulations.
 - Ability to deal with numerous people, projects at one time- frequent interruptions.
 - Busy, noisy environment, with high Bio- security demands.
 - Willing to travel.
 - Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
System Administration and Maintenance:
- Manage and maintain Integrated Business Management systems related to feed safety.
 - Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and cybersecurity protocols are upheld.
 - Ensure feed safety processes are integrated into day-to-day operational activities across all feed mill sites.
 
ISO 22 000 Compliance:
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of ISO 22 000 standards.
 - Maintain documentation and records required for audits and certifications.
 - Collaborate with Technical and Production teams to ensure system alignment with food safety objectives.
 - Ensure full compliance with ISO 22 000 requirements and other applicable feed safety legislation (local and international).
 
Data Management and Reporting:
- Develop and manage dashboards and reports for feed safety metrics, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
 - Ensure accurate, accessible and timely data entry and retrieval for internal and external audits.
 
Training and Support:
- Provide training and technical support to staff on feed safety systems and ISO 22 000 procedures at all levels.
 
Audit and Risk Management:
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.
 - Identify system risks and implement mitigation strategies.
 
Cross-Site Coordination and Best Practices:
- Act as the primary contact point for feed safety systems across all feed mill sites.
 - Facilitate communication between sites to ensure consistent application of standards.
 
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in feed safety processes, systems, and controls.
