Die boerdery bestaan uit verskeie produksie-afdelings, waaronder koring, mielies, aartappels, beet, wortels en uie. ’n Breë agtergrond in groenteproduksie en die vermoë om die verskillende afdelings georganiseerd en doelgerig te bestuur, is dus noodsaaklik.
Verantwoordelikhede:
- Bestuur en koördinering van daaglikse boerdery-aktiwiteite
- Beplanning, uitvoering en monitering van produksie oor verskeie gewasse
- Praktiese bestuur van koring, mielies, beet, wortels, uie en aartappelproduksie
- Organisering van werkskedules, personeel en produksieprioriteite
- Toesig oor personeelprestasie, dissipline en produktiwiteit
- Instandhouding van infrastruktuur, toerusting, voertuie en meganisasie
- Identifisering van kostebesparings- en doeltreffendheidsgeleenthede
- Samewerking met die eienaar oor strategiese beplanning en besluitneming
- Verseker dat take betyds en volgens standaarde afgehandel word.
Kandidaatvereistes:
- Tersiêre landboukwalifikasie is 'n aanbeveling
- Grondige kennis van groenteproduksie en gewasbestuur. Ondervinding met koring, mielies, uie, beet, wortels en aartappels word sterk aanbeveel
- Personeelbestuur en leierskapsvaardighede

Production Manager Vegetables
This is a long-term opportunity for an individual with a strong sense of ownership, practical management skills, and the drive to work with the management team to sustainably grow the farming operation. The successful candidate must be willing to settle in the area, take responsibility, and actively contribute to the growth, stability, and profitability of the business.
The farm consists of several production branches, including wheat, maize, potatoes, beetroot, carrots, and onions. The ideal candidate should therefore have broad exposure to vegetable farming, with the ability to manage different production divisions in a practical, organised, and goal-oriented manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overall management and coordination of daily farming activities.
- Planning, implementation, and monitoring of production across multiple branches.
- Practical management of wheat, maize, beetroot, carrot, onion, and potato production.
- Organising work programs, staff, and production priorities.
- Managing staff performance, discipline, and productivity.
- Supervising the maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, and mechanisation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve production, cost efficiency, and processes.
- Working closely with the owner on planning, decision-making, and strategic development.
- Ensuring all tasks are completed on time, efficiently, and to the expected standards.
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- A Tertiary qualification is advantageous
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar farm management role.
- Strong practical knowledge of vegetable farming.
- Experience in crop production.
- Knowledge of wheat, maize, onions, beetroot, carrots, and potatoes will be highly recommended.
- Strong staff management and leadership abilities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability will be advantageous.
- Solid business acumen, ensuring a consistent profit-driven approach.
