Description

At ADM, we give you the opportunity to turn your expertise in swine nutrition into tangible impact across farms, feed mills, and the wider value chain.

You work at the intersection of formulation science, product innovation, and on-farm application. Your role is to connect these areas so that our nutritional solutions are not only technically sound, but also practical, compliant, and effective in real production conditions.

Your work directly supports the productivity and profitability of swine producers in South Africa. What you develop in formulation, validate through trials, or adjust in the field contributes to animal performance, feed efficiency, and overall farm results.

From day one, you work closely with customers, sales, marketing, formulation, R&D, and quality teams. You take ownership of technical challenges, spend time in the field to understand real production conditions, and bring those insights back into product and formulation decisions.

This role operates in a complex and fast-moving environment. Farm conditions vary, constraints are real, and priorities can evolve. Progress is built through observation, testing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    • Collaborate with Creation, Design & Development, and LCM teams on product development trials and field evaluations
    • Identify market needs and potential areas for innovation and product differentiation
    • Support R&D and formulation teams in evaluating raw materials, nutrient profiles, and practical feeding constraints
  1. Regulatory, quality assurance & analytical control
    • Support preparation, review, and evaluation of regulatory documents, labels, and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
    • Ensure compliance with South African feed regulations and ADM quality management systems
    • Support ADM LABS SA on report evaluation and communication to customers
    • Provide recommendations for handling non-conformities, reprocessing, or product returns when required
    • Support Quality Assurance teams in raw material assessment and feed safety validation when required
  1. Training, communication & cross-functional collaboration
    • Train internal teams, customers, consultants, and distributors on swine nutrition, management, and product application
