We are seeking a driven and experienced Technical Advisor – Swine to join our growing team in Pretoria.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support, developing market strategies, driving sales growth, and strengthening customer relationships within the swine industry.
This position combines technical expertise, relationship management, and business development, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about animal production and enjoys working directly with farmers, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and product guidance within the swine industry
- Assist agents and customers with nutrition, gut health, immunity, and animal performance solutions
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the swine division
- Drive new business development and market expansion opportunities
- Support and train internal and external sales agents
- Manage and oversee the 4Mix swine product range
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and industry bodies
- Conduct regular farm visits and provide on-site technical assistance
- Monitor market trends and recommend strategic improvements
- Assist with product development and technical evaluations
- Prepare budgets, reports, and forward planning documentation
- Represent the company at farmer days, exhibitions, supplier events, and industry meetings
- Investigate and assist with customer complaints and product non-conformance matters
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Agricultural Animal Science or related field
Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in:
- Swine farming
- Animal nutrition
- Technical sales or agricultural sales
Additional Requirements
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
