Doel van die Pos:
Die Junior Voerkraalbestuurder is verantwoordelik vir die effektiewe dag-tot-dag bestuur van die voerkraal, met spesifieke fokus op diergesondheid, voeding en operasionele doeltreffendheid. Sleutel verantwoordelikhede:
- Dag-tot-dag bestuur van voerkraal aktiwiteite
- Monitering van dieregesondheid en vroeë identifisering van siek diere
- Toediening en koördinering van behandelings en siekte prosessering
- Bestuur en implementering van voedings programme en rantsoene
- Samewerking met veeartse en voedingskonsutante
- Toesig oor personeel en effektiewe spanbestuur
- Rekordhouding en administrasie van voerkraaldata (gewigte, behandelings, voeropnames ens.)
- Ondersteuning met die bestuur van die teelkudde waar nodig
- Verseker dat biosekuriteit- en bestuursprotokolle nagekom word

- Basiese kennis of sterk belangstelling in bees produksie en voerkraal bestuur
- Vermoë om siekte simptome by beeste te herken
- Goeie administrasie en rekordhouding vermoë
- Sterk interpersoonlike vaardighede en die vermoë om met personeel te werk en leiding te neem
- Probleemoplossings vaardighede en aandig aan detail
- Bereidheid om te leer en praktiese ervaring op te bou

Purpose of the Position
The Junior Feedlot Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the feedlot, with a specific focus on animal health, nutrition, and operational efficiency. The role also includes involvement in the breeding herd. This position requires a person with a strong passion for cattle, who is willing to learn and grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of feedlot activities.
- Monitoring animal health and early identification of sick animals.
- Administering and coordinating treatments and disease processing.
- Managing and implementing feeding programmes and rations.
- Collaborating with veterinarians and nutrition consultants.
- Supervising staff and ensuring effective team management.
- Maintaining records and administering feedlot data (weights, treatments, feed intake, etc.).
- Assisting with the management of the breeding herd when required.
- Ensuring compliance with biosecurity and management protocols.
Requirements and Skills
- Basic knowledge of, or a strong interest in, cattle production and feedlot management.
- Ability to recognise disease symptoms in cattle.
- Good administrative and record-keeping skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and lead staff.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and gain practical experience.
- Physically fit, healthy, and willing to work in a farm environment.
