A leading fresh produce exporter committed to innovation and operational excellence has a graduate internship role available as Front-End BI Developer. This internship offers exposure to data-driven decision-making in a dynamic global supply chain environment. You’ll work with experienced professionals to transform raw data into actionable insights that support business growth.

Purpose of the role:
To design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that bring data to life. Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to create powerful visual insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions
  • Optimize dashboard performance, usability, and accessibility
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports
  • Stay current with BI design best practices and emerging visualization tools

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • Proficiency in BI tools and solid understanding of SQL and data modelling
  • Strong design sense for creating visually engaging, user-friendly dashboards
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of export operations, supply chain, or perishable goods data is an advantage
  • SA Citizen
  • Students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds will enjoy preference
  • Under 30 years of age

Career Path:
After completing the 12-month contract, you’ll have the skills to transform raw data into user-friendly visuals, gather requirements, and ensure data integrity. This role offers a pathway to becoming a Senior Front-End BI Developer within 2–5 years.
