A dynamic corporate company in the fresh produce industry, specialising in fruit and vegetables for export and local retail markets, has a Student Holiday Work opportunity in logistics in fresh fruit at one of their subsidiaries in the fruit industry in Paarl, Western Cape, for a short period from 24 November - 5 December.
Outline of the duties: (Training and guidance will be provided)
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking and scheduling of trucks
- Preparing specifications for incoming loads
- Following up and tracking of shipments
- Handling costings and related administration
- Capturing landside invoices
- Coordinating truck offloading
- Overseeing intake procedures
- Supporting the production line
- Conducting intake quality checks on products.
Who Should Apply:
They invite students in their 3rd or final year, as well as postgraduates, to apply. Ideal candidates are studying in fields such as BCom (Marketing/Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade), BSc or BCom Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness, BSc Agric Horticulture or any related field.
