A dynamic corporate company in the fresh produce industry, specialising in fruit and vegetables for export and local retail markets has a Student Holiday Work Opportunity in Paarl, Western Cape for a Quality Control role at one of their fruit exporting subsidiaries.
Proposed working times: 24 Nov to 19 Dec and back again from 5 Jan -16 Jan 2026. (The same student).
Outline of the duties: (Training and guidance will be provided)
• Assist Quality Controllers with performing all aspects of quality inspection at pack houses and/or depots
• Tasks include, but are not limited to:
o Taking of Fruit pressures
o Taking of Total Soluble Solids (TSS / “Sugar”)
o General quality inspection of fruit packed and quality inspection of fruit in bins should a problem be detected.
o Loading of QC information onto the Datagear/Dipar application.
